I looked around at a few different options before buying, and I know some people might say there are cheaper ones out there, but LiftMaster seemed fair for what you get. It’s not the cheapest thing ever, sure, but the quality feels solid and I’d rather pay a little more than deal with something flimsy. Setup was straightforward, everything works like it’s supposed to, and so far I’m happy with the value. No regrets on my end.

In the end, they fixed it under warranty with no hassle at all. I was expecting it to be more of a headache, but the whole process was straightforward and easy.

"Works with Alexa, but not totally sure yet"
It connected with my Alexa without much trouble, though the setup did take me a little while to figure out. So far it’s doing what I need with my smart home stuff, but I’m still not 100% sure about the overall quality. I’ll have to see how it holds up over time.

"Setup was way easier than I expected"
I put in my LiftMaster opener over the weekend, it went a lot smoother than I was expecting. The instructions were actually clear, and the parts were labeled well enough that I wasn’t just standing there guessing, which I kind of assumed I’d be doing.
Getting it connected to my phone was quick too, maybe 10 minutes after the opener was installed. Everything worked on the first try, which makes me feel like all the warnings about setup being a pain were a little dramatic. Really happy with it so far.

Got the myQ app connected quick and, it works fine for me. No annoying tech nonsense or dumb runaround—just paired it up and it did what it was supposed to do...

"The opener works okay on most days, but..."
The opener works okay on most days, but every now and then it freezes up or doesn’t catch the remote signal. To be fair, my garage gets cold and I’m probably not the most patient person when I’m trying to leave in a hurry. It’s not a huge problem, just kind of annoying when it happens.

It opens and closes fine, so no real complaints there, but dang, it’s louder than I thought it’d be. It’s not awful or anything, just not as smooth and quiet as I was hoping. Still does the job, though...

"The garage opener itself works fine for..."
The garage opener itself works fine for the most part, but dealing with customer support was really frustrating. It took days to get a response, and when they finally replied, it didn’t actually answer what I was asking. I had to keep following up, some of the replies made it feel like they were blaming me instead of trying to help. It’s not the worst product ever, but the support experience was annoying.
